Los Angeles, CA (February 5, 2019) – Winner of “Most Inspirational Short Film” in the International Christian Film Festival, the short film, “In Tune” is now available to watch on Amazon Prime Video. Thousands are taking the experience of the film further with a 5-day devotional plan offered free on YouVersion’s Bible App.
“In Tune” follows the story of Jen, a professional violinist driven to succeed who makes a desperate choice that jeopardizes her future and throws her into a crisis with God. Written and directed by Laura Woodworth and co-produced with Sam Woodworth through Source Entertainment, the film features award winning original music written by Grammy-nominated, Dove Award winning songwriter Michael Farren with Integrity Music artists Dustin Smith and Alisa Turner.
The devotional, “In Tune – Exploring the Father’s Love” engages viewers further with the message of the film to “expect good things.” Available in English and Spanish, each day of the devotional plan leads readers toward a deeper understanding of the father heart of God, mirrored in the film as the hero Jen grows in her grasp of who God is.
“As partners with YouVersion, we’ve created a unique experience for audiences worldwide by combining the film’s online release with the free devotional,” said Laura Woodworth. Los Angeles, CA (August 16, 2017) – An official selection of the international 168 Film Festival with five nominations including Best Film in it’s category, the short film “IN TUNE” is written, produced and directed by award winning screenwriter, Laura Woodworth. The film premieres August 27, 2017 at the Regal Cinemas Premier House at LA Live at which time festival winners will be announced.
Nominations were chosen by a jury of Hollywood filmmakers prominent in faith friendly films including actor-producer Kevin Sorbo (“HERCULES,” “GOD’S NOT DEAD”) and writer-producer Brian Bird (“THE CASE FOR CHRIST,” “WHEN CALLS THE HEART”), with others. “IN TUNE” received the following nominations in 168’s non-speed category:
“IN TUNE” is about a success-driven violinist obsessed with avoiding the mistakes of her father. An injury leads to a desperate choice which threatens her career and future marriage and throws her into a crisis with God. With violin pieces performed live by lead actress Audrey DeLeón, the short film features original music written by Integrity Music artists Dustin Smith and Alisa Turner and Grammy-nominated, Dove Award winning songwriter Michael Farren, who is up for three more Dove Awards this year.
“In a day when so many young people feel orphaned and alone, “IN TUNE” offers a powerful portrayal of the Father’s love,” states director Laura Woodworth. With over a decade in the film and television industry, “IN TUNE” is her first independent film project.
The Woodworth-helmed film was shot on the Arri Alexa Mini-Pro by award winning cinematographer Pietro Villani. Post-production color-grading was done by Roush Media known for their work on films “WAR ROOM” and “I’M NOT ASHAMED.” Woodworth reached back to her hometown of Kansas City, Missouri to bring on award winning sound supervisor, C.J. Drumeller. Her husband, Sam Woodworth, up for an award as supporting actor, is co-producer on the film, produced by the couple’s Los Angeles-based company, Source Entertainment.
